[Reversal of Fortune] draws on a comic turnover of a man that goes in and out of two different worlds. Seung-wan, the main character who’s living a near bankrupt life as a securities broker, one day comes across his clone in a tunnel whereby his life makes a complete turnaround as a sports superstar, a dream he’s given up long ago. [Reversal of Fortune] presents to the audience laughter as well as warm drama as it plays out everyone’s curiosity of ‘What if I had done that?’ in an extraordinary setting.

KANG Seung-wan (KIM Seung-woo), who was once a child golf star, is now living a dull life of a securities broker. Because of his innocent and gullible nature, he’s treated as a mockery of the company whereby he’s being chased by a mobster, MAH Kang-sung (LEE Moon-shik) for having invested all of MAH’s money into a near bankrupt company. On the day he’s nearly beat to death by MAH, he drives through a tunnel where he comes across his clone. As both Seung-wans are startled, Seung-wan crashes into a tunnel wall.

Seung-wan regains his consciousness. He looks fine and feels fine, yet right when he’s about to treat what’s happened to him as a dream, everyone on the streets crowd him in. And what’s with the giant park in the middle of Main Street? Right then, Seung-wan looks to the billboards full of his advertisement pictures. It’s a world where his dreams as a golf star have come true. That’s when a woman, or Seung-wan’t wife (HA Ji-won), appears in front of bewildered Seung-wan to slap him in his face. Good thing he's a superstar, but not only is he a sports star, but he's a playboy alright. Unlike his wife, HAN Ji-young (HA Ji-won) who would go at him for sleeping around with a celebrity actress, KANG Seung-wan falls for the woman who slaps him on their first meeting and moves in with her.
